Our Lives This Week

[stextbox id=”asti2″ caption=”Asti” collapsing=”true”]Hmm… not too much to report here! Now that my placement is done it’s all about finishing assessments for me. Over the next two weeks I have five assessments due! (Ridiculous.) Luckily, I have completed two so far so I’m making progress. But yeah… if I don’t respond to comments anytime soon, you know why!

Aside from stressing with assessments, it’s been nice to just sort of stay home this past week. Sometimes nothing can beat staying in your pjs and wasting hours on the interwebz…[/stextbox]

Question of the Week

Kelley usually does this section of the recap, but she’s currently on a camping trip, and Leanne is on hiatus soooo… I guess you’re stuck with me! What should I ask about? Oh the pressure! I know, this weekend is a holiday…

Did you have any special plans for the easter holiday? Any fun family traditions?

So, how was your week?

  1. Not really any special plans. We did the Easter egg thing this morning but we’re not having dinner until tomorrow. My week kind of sucked though and I ended up in a very dark place. I’m still somewhat there but trying to get past it. :(

Anyways, I like that you’re enjoying staying home in your pjs Asti. That is pretty much my life lately..lol Good luck with your assignments :)

I really like your fan art Kelley! It’s great :)

Once again ladies, thanks for all the links to check out!

  2. My family doesn’t really celebrate Easter seriously. All we have is a little dinner which we had yesterday. We might be going to one later on today too! I wish I could dye eggs for Easter though because I’ve never done that before and it looks like so much fun!

Thanks for all the links, especially the bookish quizzes! And for the tweet of the week of all the kitties. Definitely put a smile on my face!

Have a great week guys! :)

    • I always wanted to dye eggs when I was a kid, but I can’t remember ever getting to do it except for this one time at my friend’s house! I do recall my parents taking us to plenty of egg hunts though. :)

So glad you’re enjoying all of our links — especially the Bookish Fun ones!

    • Yeah, my family usually doesn’t do much celebration either. We usually go to my Aunt’s for a family get together, but I guess even this year they didn’t do that. (Not that I would have been able to go if they did, being in a different country and all.)

And yes, decorating Easter eggs! It’s been a long, long time since I’ve last done it but I always think it would be fun. Plus I love hard-boiled eggs so I could eat them afterwards! We should make it a goal to do it next year. Wouldn’t it be cute to try and make them book-themed? :P

  3. We always have dinner with friends (military families don’t often have family nearby). We do the typical Easter crafts, like coloring eggs and an egg hunt too. I think the kids have fun and that’s what matters.
Thank you for the shout outs and the great recap :)

  4. OH MY GOD HOGWARTS *runs away forever*

Well this year was a bit different due to some family changes, but I ended up going to my unbiological brother’s grandparents’ house, and we all had lunch and an egg hunt there. A bit different, but still fun!
